They came on busses and vans. They toured all over the country spreading Gospel music. They appeared on Sunday nights when preacher needed a break. They were someone’s cousin. Most important- – – they had albums to sell! After every show the non-musical member of the family sat at the table in the back and sold these. If you own one, you grew up Fundagelical.

Harken back to the days of big hair, wide ties and leisure suits. If you had one of these suits you were probably a Deacon or named Deacon.

Ummm. . . there’s one girl too many and I don’t see Alice but OK. Makes you wonder which one was Marsha! Marsha! Marsha!

Who us? We always dress like this at home. Did you want to shoot an album cover? Honey put down that casserole and let the nice man shoot our next album cover.

I’m trying to figure out what she was “overshadowed” by. . . ?

Gospel and Go-Go boots. Glory! The men behind the piano are wearing hot pants and go-go boots but that was saved for the live concert.

Surprisingly they were all named Faith. At the end of each Gospel concert, they would take a free will offering of hairspray

They were surprised to learn that the founder of the group, Bobby-Joe, couldn’t count.

Either they can’t count or women don’t count. Not sure which. How different our Bible would be with Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Erlene.
