Kenneth Copeland is one of the “name it and claim it crowd.” Or as I like to call it, “Blab it and grab it.” His recent actions make me wonder if he has lost his faith. Let me explain.

Fake faith healers always leave themselves an out for when healing doesn’t happen. These phony excuses always blame the person who isn’t healed. The person didn’t claim their healing. I guess healing is like a winning lottery ticket; you have to claim your prize. Who knew God followed such complicated rules and couldn’t perform miracles without stipulations? Perhaps the person simply doesn’t have enough faith. God would like to heal you, but You don’t have enough faith. Who knew that’s the way grace works? We have to do work, like conjuring up enough faith, to receive God’s blessing. The last excuse comes from William Branham, an old school faith healer from the 1940s-1960. Brabham claimed you could lose your healing. If you start doubting again, the very faith that taken it out, unbelief will bring it back again.”

I’ve been watching Kenneth Copeland’s actions over the last month or so, and it looks like this “man of faith” has his doubts.

Let’s start on March 11th. Kenneth Copeland instructed his viewers to place their hands on their TV screens, and they would be cured. Right Wing Watch provided the video in a Twitter post March 12th.

So, if he has healed everyone, why did he need to do another round of prayer for healing? If God had told him it’s already over, why linger on this topic? During healing services on March 15th, Copeland declared that God had told him personally that “This disease, called CODV-19[sic], will be over much sooner than you think. Christian people all over this country praying have overwhelmed it.” (Again thanks to Right Wing Watch)

So, there you have it. From God’s lips to Copeland’s ears, it’s over (soonish). The question is, why are the cases of the disease increasing? Maybe we misunderstood the message. Copeland proclaimed “COVD-19” over soon, not COVID-19. God probably took care of whatever that other satanic disease was. My favorite part of that clip is when he proclaims it was hatred towards trump that “opened the door” for the virus. It makes me wonder if Ebola, SARS, swine flu, and the Zika virus were caused by hatred towards Obama. Guess Copeland forgot to preach that.

Well, having declared “COVD-19” or “whatever the Devil is trying to do” over soon, why does he need to follow-up with March 29th, his prayer passing judgment on COVID-19 and declaring, “It! Is! Finished! It! Is! Over! And the United States of America is healed and well again.” Copeland also looked at his watch and claimed the pandemic finished as of noon today (March 29th)

Copeland followed the rules; he now named it (Correctly this time) and claimed it. If it doesn’t happen, that either means he doesn’t have enough faith, or he lost the healing through doubt. So, which is it? Why does he need to keep pronouncing this over? In Matthew 17, the disciples had failed to cast out a demon. They asked Jesus why they couldn’t. Jesus said, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20) Jesus didn’t say keep yelling at the mountain over and over until it moves. The clear implication of this verse is that Copeland lacks the faith of a mustard seed.

April 3rd, Copeland is at it again. This time he blows on the virus and declares, “I blow the wind of God on you! You are destroyed forever. And you’ll never be back.”

Well, today is April 8th, and Andrew Cuomo announced that New York saw its highest Death Toll on Monday, April 6th, three days after Copeland prayed and blew wind. Bringing back a slang term from the 80s, I agree with Copeland when he says, “I blow.” I definitely agree with you, you blow.

By the way, is it just me or does Copeland lose it at the 1:32 mark right after he says “You fall on your face“? Does he have a moment of self realization? Does he start laughing at how completely ludicrous his yelling and the mindless repetition of the guys behind him sounds? Just asking.

I’m really beginning to wonder how much faith Copeland can have if he keeps “blabbing it and grabbing it,” but it never happens. It makes you wonder if this whole thing is a scam. I mean, Copeland is the same guy who explained that jobs aren’t his viewer’s source, Jesus was their source and that if they lost their jobs, “whatever you do right now, don’t you stop tithing.”

Shouldn’t Copeland proclaim that tithes and offerings from his viewers aren’t his source for his multi-million-dollar lifestyle and that he doesn’t even need to worry if he doesn’t get paid his six-figure salary? That Jesus is his source. What’s he so worried about? It seems to me he might have lost his faith.
