Fundagelicals hate the theory of evolution. Since they take the Bible literally, they believe in six literal days of creation. Therefore, evolution is a lie and must be disproven.
I’ve written previously about ACE (Christian Accelerated Education) the Texas-based supplier of educational materials for Christian homeschooling. In that previous post, I pointed out the absurd test questions that pass for education.
However, when you see the actual educational material, maybe the questions will seem a little less absurd.
Take a look at this quote from Science PACE 1099. (Packet of Accelerate Christian Education)

Have you heard of the ‘Loch Ness Monster’ in Scotland? ‘Nessie,’ for short, has been recorded on sonar from a small submarine, described by eyewitnesses, and photographed by others. Nessie appears to be a plesiosaur.
Let that sink in, THE LOCH NESS MONSTER!
The Loch Ness monster provides a twofer! It proves dinosaurs and humans lived at the same time (Take that evolution and fossil records) and that Noah took dinosaurs on the ark. (Ken Ham at the Ark Encounter must have written this.)
I question the wisdom in choosing a mythological creature as evidence for the literal truth of the Bible. Does Bigfoot prove the David and Goliath Story? Does the Jersey Devil prove that the Devil didn’t really go down to Georgia?
I’d like to know which scientists speculate that Noah took dinosaurs on the ark. After five seconds of googling, I found the guys over at Answers in Genesis. After reading them, I don’t think they are scientists. According to them,
In Genesis 6:19–20, the Bible says that two of every sort of land vertebrate (seven of the “clean” animals) were brought by God to the Ark. Therefore, dinosaurs (land vertebrates) were represented on the Ark.
Although there are about 668 names of dinosaurs, there are perhaps only 55 different “kinds” of dinosaurs. Furthermore, not all dinosaurs were huge like the Brachiosaurus, and even those dinosaurs on the Ark were probably “teenagers” or young adults.
The Bible says it so it must have happened isn’t science. How do we get 55 kinds of dinosaurs? Do you mean that 688 kinds of dinosaur evolved from these 55 kinds? In the very next paragraph, these supposed scientists show how bad at Science they really are.
Creationist researcher John Woodmorappe [Pen name for Jan Peczkis] has calculated that Noah had on board with him representatives from about 8,000 animal genera (including some now-extinct animals), or around 16,000 individual animals as a maximum number. When you realize that horses, zebras, and donkeys are probably descended from the horse-like “kind,” Noah did not have to carry two sets of each such animal. Also, dogs, wolves, and coyotes are probably from a single canine “kind,” so hundreds of different dogs were not needed.
Let’s do some math, Noah had 8,000 animal genera, so maximum he would have had 16,000 animals. I’m guessing they multiplied by 2 to get breeding pairs. However, they just quoted Genesis 6:19-20 which stated that Noah brought 7 of every clean animal. Shouldn’t we multiply by 7? I guess creation researchers are bad at math. I thought scientist had to be good at math?
What I can’t get over is their statement that “Also, dogs, wolves, and coyotes are probably from a single canine “kind,” so hundreds of different dogs were not needed.” So, dogs, wolves, and coyotes EVOLVED from a single canine species. Do you people not read your own sentences????
Fundagelicals apparently believe that in order to protect their children from the evils of secular society, they need to offer up a tourist trap hoax named Nessie and their own form of evolution as “education.”
Fundagelicals often cry “persecution,” but it’s hard to believe that they are being persecuted when the government allows them to keep their kids as stupid as they want for religious reasons.
Hmm, I wonder if the Yeti is a member of the lost tribes of Israel, notice how Yeti and Yentl sound similar.
