Austin Texas has a problem. Well, Austin has a problem if you listen to Reg Morais.

According to his “Get to Know Reg” page on his personal website, Reg has angelic messengers bringing him reports from the throne room of God daily AND has had 23 personal visits with Jesus. So, Reg has some high-level information to share. Of course, all this information is available for purchase on his website or through Amazon. If you were lucky enough to go to the 2019 Seers Conference in Austin Texas ,put on by Reg himself, then you found out that the city of Austin is where a big revival will break out if everyone will start using Reg’s “Spiritual Warfare 5.0” tactics.

According to Charisma Magazine,

” Reg Morais, a prophetic author, speaker and ministry leader in Australia, felt led by the Holy Spirit to travel halfway around the world to Austin to teach “spiritual warfare 5.0” to Christians who are using “spiritual warfare 1.0 tactics” in a highly strategic city.”

“Morais said that many people told him that if revival were to break out in America, it would start in Dallas (often called the “buckle of the Bible belt”) or Houston (home of Lakewood Church, the largest church in America, under the leadership of Joel Osteen), but Morais said believers should be praying for Austin.”

“God showed me that something is blocking believers’ prayers for Austin,”

“Demonic activity is at work in the capital of Texas at this moment. Witches and warlocks are busy at work. Territorial forces are here in the capital city. The stronghold needs to be broken. Austin is ready for a major revival to come through.”

Did you get that? Believer’s prayers are being blocked. Apparently, witches and warlocks are using demons as spiritual goaltenders to block the soccer balls of prayers believers are sending to God.

If only believers knew spiritual warfare 5.0 to get their prayers past these goalkeepers. Oh but wait, Reg has books to sell you, AND you can enroll in his “University”! Yep, for only $4,000, you can get your diploma or certificate from Anoint The World Theological Seminary.

So, here’s a guy who puts on his own conference to declare a problem only he knows about AND sells the solution that only he has! Wow, how convenient.

Let’s stop and think for a minute . . . can a believers prayer be blocked?

If I remember my Bible, let me google real quick, yep there it is,

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” (Romans 26-27 NIV)

If the Holy Spirit is interceding on our behalf, and the Holy Spirit is God, then how can demons stop God?

Now I’m not getting daily reports from the throne room, but last time I checked, I was indwelled by the Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 1:14) as are all believers. I just don’t see how demons can interfere in such an intimate relationship. This sounds to me like a case of bad theology or classic scare tactics to get you to buy something.

I think I’ll skip Spiritual Warfare 5.0 and go with Holy Spirit 1.0. What’s that you ask? Here’s a free gift, no books or self-run universities needed, “Even before they call, I will answer, and while they are still speaking, I will hear.” (Isaiah 65:24) That’s a promise from God 1.0. Let’s see one of those witches or warlocks cast a spell against that. I bet even demon goaltenders can’t block a God who hears.
